Salsa Cook-off

Tomorrow Trinity hosts a salsa cook-off, where different organisations can make there own salsas and compete to see who can make the best salsa. A friend of mine from the club lacrosse team is meeting with some of her teammates to make salsa. She will be using tomatoes and jalapenos that she grew herself in order to make the salsa. I personally am excited to try all of the different salsas. I prefer spicy salsa so that's what I'll be looking for when I am there.

This cook-off comes a week after the chili cook-off, which was hosted by the betas, a Trinity sorority, and featured a similar contest with chili as well as a jalapeno-eating contest. My friend won the jalapeno-eating contest last year and received the twenty dollar prize. The prize for winning best chili was fifty dollars.
I am excited for the salsa cook-off and to try the lacrosse team's amazing salsa. I hope they win and I am excited to try all of the different salsas that Trinity students can make. Salsa is one of my favorite foods and I know that it will be amazing at the cook-off but I am slightly disappointed that it is not a queso cook-off since that is actually my absolute favorite food of all time.
